Overview

Generate printable competition targets at 1:1 physical scale. Each target is centered in its layout cell and clipped to that cell, so a target larger than its cell is cropped at the cell edge. The tool supports tiling multiple targets per page for smaller targets.

Target Presets

Select from the standard competition target configurations covering Short Range (SR), Mid Range (MR), Long Range (LR), F-Class, and IBS Benchrest disciplines. Ring diameters match official specifications.

Select "Custom" to define your own ring sizes from scratch, or modify any preset after loading it (editing rings switches the preset to "Custom").

Ring Editor

Each row defines a scoring ring: a checkbox to show or hide that ring's printed label, an editable label, diameter (in inches), fill color, line (stroke) color, and label color. Rings are drawn outermost to innermost, with each ring painting over the previous one. Use Add Ring to append a ring, and the × button on a row to remove one.

Standard paper-target coloring is outer rings white-fill/black-line and inner rings black-fill/white-line; Benchrest (IBS) targets use their own scheme. Any ring's colors can be overridden in the editor.

Your ring edits are saved in this browser and restored on your next visit.

Print Settings

Paper Size: Standard sizes, or choose "Custom" to enter Paper W/H in inches. Ring dimensions are generated at 1:1 physical scale; the actual printed size depends on your printer and print settings.

Layout (Cols × Rows): Number of columns and rows to tile on one page. Set both to 1 for a single full-page target; use e.g. 2 × 3 for six targets per page. Each target is centered and clipped within its cell.

Orientation: Portrait or landscape page layout.

Margins: Page margins in inches, applied to all edges.

Print Scale (%): Scales the whole output. Leave at 100 for true 1:1; use it to calibrate a printer (print, measure a known ring, then set scale = expected ÷ measured × 100) or to make reduced-size targets (e.g. 50).

Ring Line (in): Thickness of the ring outlines, in inches.

Show Target Label: Display the target name and description below each target.

Target Label / Label Color: Override the auto-generated label text and its color.

Printing Tips

When printing, ensure your print dialog is set to "Actual Size" or "100%" scale (not "Fit to Page"). This helps rings print at their intended physical dimensions. Always measure a printed ring with a ruler or calipers to verify scale before use.

Each printed page carries a small range.primox.net watermark in the corner.
